Mercury in Retrograde

Mercury will be in retrograde from August 20th until September 12th. This time Mercury will be in the sign of Virgo.

Wherever you have Mercury in your natal chart is where the focus is, next look at where it is traveling: the house it’s in, the sign, the aspects it makes to your individual planets. This will tell you the whole story.

Virgo is the second sign ruled by Mercury. Like Gemini, it’s talkative but critical. It’s tendencies are to point out others faults before looking into their own hearts to see what progress this would make for either person. Virgo is the internal Mercury, ruling the intestines and the power of assimilation. A place for everything and everything in it’s place is Virgo.

Mercury in retrograde is a time to review what you have to finish, perhaps go back to and re-learn. It’s a good time to reconnect with people, perhaps clients or customers from your past as they will become important to you again. One thing we are cautioned ‘not’ to do is to begin new projects. We have found that what happens is not what you want to happen and you have to redo it anyway.

Here’s a little tidbit:

If Mercury is retrograde in your first house you may want to take this time to review your health and learn how to curb your tongue. Sometimes your anger is frustration over what’s going on with you….not the other person.

If Mercury is retrograde in your second house you may find yourself reviewing your income and possessions. Is your current source of money satisfying? Do you need to review and set up a program to show your employer what your really worth? Give it a try…get your paper work done but don’t do anything until after the 12th of never…haha I mean the 12th of September.

Mercury retrograde in your third may indicate a short trip to some place you have been before but need to return to clean up some issues. It may also include a sibling or two and if this is the case please remember what they are going through before you think it’s “all about you”.

Mercury retrograde in the fourth house is a great time for cleaning and organizing your space. Feng Shui or some other energy work is really good to help enhance and brighten your surroundings. Even though Mercury is in retrograde, if you need a new bed by all means buy one! Your bed represents the womb and sometimes we really are ready to leave the nest, on and emotional level any way.

Mercury in the fifth house: pick up the crayons, chalks, oils whatever it is you like to draw and play with. Believe it or not this is a great way to pull out your creative energy and let the juices flow. Not everyone is a great artist but who cares? Let go, let love flow. If you have children then do some fun things with them, silly things because they love to have fun too. The best part of this placement and act is that with Mercury in retrograde you get to repeat it…hahaha!!

Mercury retrograde in the sixth house: This is the time you take a really close look at your health. Do some meditation and/or prayer work and see what messages your guides bring to you. Perhaps it’s time to do another internal cleanse? Or step up your vitamin and herbal program. Or even repeat a method you tried before but need to do again. And can you say “exercize?”

Mercury retrograde in the seventh house:  Love and Marriage, Love and Marriage, go together like a horse and carriage….la la la…that’s how you’ll feel. Where’s my partner, my life mate, my reason for living? Questions you may ask and I say look to your past. Sometimes what we think is not what we see and visa versa. Give this person a chance. That’s why they are back in your life. Relax, go with the flow. Then when it goes direct you can see where you are with one another.

Mercury in the eight house: Someone close to you either at home or at work is not on the up and up with the financial picture. Watch your back. Make sure all of ‘your’ records are in order. What can you do? Well, this is the best time to check everything so do it! Quit trusting one and all!

Mercury in the ninth house: Long distance travel, higher education, spirituality, and now for something special: Courts, judges, lawyers. Any of those sound familiar? Here is a rehashing of things gone by the way side. Sometimes you want to pick them up again and re-do them…better of course with that Virgo energy…and sometimes we just want to “cut bait” and release.

Mercury retrograde in the tenth house:  Oh, how fun for you! Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water, here comes another shark. “Ouch!” Career and reputation are at stake and guess what honey, it’s not all about you! Just duck when the debris starts to fly and you also need to keep your opinion to yourself. However, with the sign of Virgo you may need to help clean up the bottom of the ark!

Mercury retrograde in the eleventh house:  Friends, hopes and wishes. Good luck with that. Some friends will stay, some will go. You may wish the ones that stayed left and visa versa. No, you didn’t do anything wrong. It’s life honey. By the way, it may even bring an old friend or two back into your world. Ready?

Twelve brings up a lot of old memories so with Mercury in retrograde you may find yourself bringing those toys back out to play. Where’s the Velveteen rabbit when we need him?  Some will need reviewing so you can put them to rest and others are just plain pains in the ‘you know what’. Deal with it…it’s done…stick a fork in it…it’s over….move ahead. Don’t look back. And quit criticizing your self!!

Dreams of a Psychic

In the ’80′s I moved into an apartment in Seattle, Wa.  Every night when I would go to sleep I would dream about this lady and how she was stalked by her old boyfriend. Each night I would get more details. This is the upshot of the dream:

She was laying in bed, sleeping, when she heard her kitchen window being opened. Her ex-boyfriend had snuck into her apt. and came after her with a knife. She would run and he would slash, she would fall against the hallway wall and leave blood smears. He left  through the window and her neighbor, who knew the circumstances with the old boyfriend, found her the next morning and called the police.

Now here I am in this same place and doing all I can to clean out the energy from that event. Yes, there were other tenants after her and before me but it shows you how everything embodies an energy field.

One day I was in the laundry room talking to another tenant who live there for over 20 yrs. She said, “Oh, you’re in that apt. where the girl was killed by her boyfriend.

My friend Chris told me that everything embodies energy. The person that makes the chair you’re sitting on? Well, it has their energy in it. The person that made the meal you’re eating…well, you get the idea. Ever notice how sometimes you go back to your favorite restaurant and the food tastes different? Did the cook have a fight with their spouse? How about buying a used car?  Me? I can’t even walk into a used clothing store, never could. The energy was overwhelming to me, so I stay away.

A few years ago I met a gal who owned a Metaphysical/Spiritual Center that catered to people like us. She sold books, crystals, herbs, etc. and even offered readings and classes in Astrology and Psychic Development. She asked me to come to her store one Sunday and she would set up a list of appointments so I could do readings for her customers and students. Of course, this was my pleasure, my love work. We set up the date and I met people from all walks of life as this was the Midwest and a South of Chicago suburb. We’re talking ‘meat and potatoes’ here.

My first client was an older gentleman who had recently retired. He wanted to know what lottery numbers to play so he could win the big lottery. I told him I didn’t do those types of readings because I believe  ”Karma” is the result of what you put out and it will come back, sometimes to haunt you. He was adamant and persisted that I give him some numbers. All of the sudden I saw these 7 numbers pop up above his head. I said, I normally do NOT do this but your guides are showing me: and then I read the numbers off  to him. Okay….then, and only then did he proceed to tell me the story about how he had played those same numbers for over ten years and when he went on his vacation recently he gave his best friend the numbers and money to play it for him. Guess what? They won. Guess what? His friend wouldn’t share. Are we surprised. Well, I wasn’t. But that was his lesson…..

My second client was a nice young lady who sat with me for over 1/2 hour and asked all kinds of personal questions. During her reading, I kept seeing this young man dressed in a fireman’s uniform carrying a large red rose. After her  reading was finished, I asked her if I could share the vision her guides were showing me. I told her I wasn’t sure if this was for her or someone close to her since she didn’t question me about this person. When I told her she started to cry. It seemed her sister’s husband was a fireman and he died in a fire less than a year before. He was only 25 years old. They made a promise to each other that whoever “crossed over” first would validate the afterlife by bringing a sign. Their sign was a big red rose.

These are just a few of the stories from parties and readings I’ve done over the years. It always amazes me at how open people are to wanting to know if they are creating a positive future for themselves. And of course, to validate what they have believed all along.

Full Moon….Lunar Eclipse…June 26, 2010…4:30am p.s.t.

On Saturday, early morning, we will experience a Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse. 4 degrees of Capricorn (Moon) and 4 degrees of Cancer (Sun).

Eclipse’s are noted for blocking the flow of energy. Sometimes we may need to stop and rethink things that have happened in the past and now is a great time to do this. Do you need to make restitution in any area? Refine, define and/or perhaps remember that all of your decisions can be changed with just a new thought!

I will first reach out to those of you who may have done something to someone and thought you could get away with it. Is your conscious bothering you? Perhaps you think this person or person’s are unaware of your transgression(s), but remember whatever is out there in the ether’s will affect you as well as them. In Catholicism we call  ”an act of contrition” something we do to make up for something we’ve done that will harm others.

If you made a decision about a major event that you know will affect you well into your future….use this time to change your plan(s). Make a new list, do a “love” treasure map. Not a partner love, but one for the love of family, friends and humanity in general. Remember, we are all part of God. No one is different in the afterworld, only here where we need to learn patience and how to nurture without resentment or malice.

One more note: Capricorn is all about Career and Social Status….negative Cappy’s climb over others to get what they want. Positive Capricorn is all about re-building and re-structuring for the good of humanity through a business sense.

Cancer is the sign that rules the home, family and the need to feel connected to all of this on a loving and nurturing level.

Classes/Workshops and Parties Available

Some of my friends and a lot of clients want to know how to meditate, and want Psychic Development classes to learn more about the spiritual world. I recommend Robin Richardson in the Evanston/Chicago area. I also teach in the Thousand Oaks area outside of L.A. and travel the coast of California, Oregon and Washington when someone sponsors a full day workshop or a week or ? of classes and readings. I also have traveled to do Reiki workshops, all levels. Also, Reiki healings and readings. Most people want the Medical Astrology/Intuition readings when they get the healings.

At one of the workshops I did, the hostess had me do a “round table” discussion for her friends while they enjoyed their “Brunch”. I was their entertainment, she said. After the class, I took each person alone and did a reading for them. When the event was over she said she wanted to correct herself and say that I was more than the entertainment, I have enlightened them on many levels and gave them hope for their future.

Good books to get you started:

Louise Hay: You can heal your life, also Affirmations and whatever she has available plus her tapes/CD’s.

Seth Books by Jane Roberts. Also her series on Oversoul 7. Will blow your mind!

I believe most of the books written after Jane passed or crossed over….are taken from Seth.

I also recommend Stuart Wilde. Funny, informative and down to earth.

Go into a book store and into the section of your choice and just walk and read titles. See what falls out at you…what you’re attracted to and start slowly. Remember, a sip at a time. Any questions?

Looking for Love in all the wrong places?

I have fun and informative classes and workshops and one is called: “Create a Mate”.  It’s one of my favorites to do as I have Libra Rising. In fact, my very first workshop was called Love and Romance. Afterwards, a gentleman approached me with his wife and said he didn’t want to come that evening as he had no interest in Astrology but was impressed by the information I shared and had learned a lot from it.

Throughout the years I have refined this class and do it either in weekly segments, or a full day workshop. I learned how to put together a treasure map from the original creator of Treasure mapping, “Opheil” and being a Capricorn his method of doing this is very structured. I also learned from Charles how to do a Create a Mate list and that has proved not only magical but in many ways funny. (lots of stories there!) I begin by sharing some actual experiences, ( my clients have given me permission to tell), and then take you through a series of exercises to help you discover what and who you are attracted to and why. I don’t want to tell you the whole workshop but if you ever want to sponsor one or attend one that is scheduled then you’ll at least have an idea what to expect. I also do these on an individual basis either by phone, email lessons and of course, in person.

My client Roy was feeling too lonely (his words) and was tired of searching for a mate. When he came to our workshop I did the regular class and then asked if they wanted to be regressed to see who their future mate was in the past and then bring them forward into this lifetime to see them and ask questions, etc. This worked out very well for Roy as he did see her and when he brought her into current time he got her name and she said they would be married within a year. So I said, what did she look like and he told me and then I said what is her name now? He said it was a very old fashion name and he told me. (When I say ‘me’ I mean he told the whole group). Well, her name was Rosemary and sure enough within a few months a friend fixed him up with a very nice lady whose name happened to be Rosemary and well, you know the rest of the story.

These classes and workshops are very powerful because when you gather together you are creating a powerful energy field.

Why use Astrology?

Astrology is a blueprint of who you are. Each sign, planet and house represents you as an individual. It shows your personality, hopes, dreams, career choices, relationship with your parents, how you express yourself, how you respond, how many marriages you’ll have, children…if any and so much more. It even is helpful in discovering who you are best suited for in marriage. I like to do both the partners charts and compare them to help them understand themselves and each other better.

My friend Lucky married a great gal and was very happy until they settled into their everyday routine. His complaint was that she’d come home from work, go to the bathroom, shut the door and not come out for an hour or longer. He’s a Sagittarius so he wanted to talk the minute she got home. She’s a Libra Sun sign but has a Scorpio Rising and Moon so she needs to unwind from her hectic day and cleanse her energy. Once this was explained he felt better because of course, he took it as rejection.

Many couples come to me and have me do chart comparisons and chart composites. Believe me, a lot of them are not compatible but I have to be honest and help them with their challenges. I just keep reminding myself how both my parents are (were) Gemini’s and they were together for close to 70 years! So a lot can be learned through knowing your ‘chart’ as well as your intended’s or perhaps already together with….mate.

NEW MOON IN GEMINI….JUNE 12, 2010

As I sit here writing it’s still June 11th, my Mother’s birthday and I dedicate this little lesson to her:

What is a New Moon anyway? Well, it’s when the Sun and Moon are in the same sign at the same degree. The light of the New Moon is very powerful and is a wonderful time to do meditation, cajatation  ( a word my sister Char and I made up years ago when we wanted…well, never mine!) anyway it’s a good time to tap into the power of the two lights Sun and Moon and make out your wish lists. Always write something so your guides will know what it is you’re after, what you desire and where you’d like to see yourself in the near future. Write up to 10 things, no more. Keep your list handy where you can look at it every day and when you do receive one and more of your wishes, then you can cross it off. Whatever doesn’t come about then repeat it on the next New Moon wish list.

Years ago I was taught by the man who created Treasure Maps or Treasure Charts and that is a class all in itself. His name is Opheal and perhaps you can still find his books. Anyway, now they’re calling them Vision Boards and changed some of the rules he set out for us. You know what? Who cares…whatever works for you is the best and if it’s not broke I always say “Why fix it?”  New Moon’s are a great time to put together or even start a Treasure Map.

Okay, what do you want to put on your list this month? Well, being a long time Astrologer I always see what the Moon is  in and where it sits in my Natal chart. This gives me good clues. What does the sign represent? How does it aspect other signs and planets in your chart? All this comes into play. This particular New Moon is in Gemini and of course we always feel talkative when the Moon travels there. Data collecting, bringing ideas out in the open to share with others and short distance travel is aspected.  Saturn is in Virgo until July 21st when it will re-enter Libra. This shows us that as a square takes place whatever it is we are trying to do or say make take some effort. It’s like knowing the answer is right around the corner and you just have to take a few steps and peek around and see if that’s where you want to go….or not. Remembering that Saturn is where we always gain our lessons, check your chart and see where it’s at now so you can finally clean up your act. How? Use the Gemini wisdom. Gather facts, go into forgiveness if you have unfinished business with a person or place. Look at how information can help you to create your 10 or less items by asking yourself how important each one is. Always look at the bottom line….see yourself “with” that which you want, need and/or desire. Let Saturn take care of the details….hand them over to your guides. They like working for you. What the heck else do they have to do? They’re there to serve you. They love it!!

Okay, one more thing….you can always leave comments for me as that helps with future blogs and you can always get a reading from me to see where you’re at and what to focus on and expect in the future. No, I don’t create your reality but I do get to see what “you’re” creating. If you like it..then go forward, if not…YOU get to change it. NEW MOON IN TAURUS….May 13, 2010

New Moon, you saw me standing alone without a love of my own….

Remember that song? Well, with this New Moon you have many opportunities to share love.

Lots of planetary interaction with Taurus Sun and Moon so you get to pick your activities and place your energy where it will serve you the best. Remember, Taurus is a fixed earth sign so movement has to be their idea. In this case, ‘your’ idea. Taurus is normally associated with the second house which rules your money. How you make it, save it and invest it.

Applying this to your love life you will share your wealth and prosperity with those you choose. It’s not a “What have you done for me lately” but rather “I’m looking over a four-leaf clover” and I see you have supported me in many ways in the past. I now want to share my wealth, time, love and best of all from Taurus….FOOD…with you.

New Moon in Taurus Meditation:

Always be physical when dealing with an earth sign New Moon. Meaning, do it on a physical level, don’t just think about it.

Light some Blue candles…any and all shades of blue and as many as you can tolerate or feel the need for in your meditation. If you have any blue gem stones, clothing and/or flowers all these will help to ground you and your New Moon Wish list. Place these in your “alter”.

Now place the candles around in a safe place….on the table, counter, etc. and light them saying: “I call in all the Angels of meditation and clearing to help in this process. I call in the Angel of forgiveness, the Angel of prosperity and the Angel of Love. I place my list before thee and ask for your guidance and know that these things will come to me for my Soul’s highest good.

Now write out your New Moon wish list. Up to ten things you would like to see manifest in your life in the near future. When you are done, set it near the gem stones, flowers or whatever you have made up as your alter. Then close your eyes, and say: “Luna, Luna….I thank thee!

Try to sit quietly for a few minutes visualizing your desires and you with them.

Calling all my Spirit Guides and Helpers!!

This move is a JOB!! Going through things to give away to charity and friends….if you haven’t worn it or used it in a year they say to give it away! Yeah but I may need it some day….hahahaha

Packing, putting furniture in a timely fashion on Craig’s List and then answering each response and then making appointments to view what we’re selling and sometimes they buy sometimes they don’t….some people are nasty and some are wonderful.

I lay awake in the middle of the night wondering why this is such a chore. I realize I’m dealing with both my belongings and my Son’s. He’s been great. Helping the people to find us, helping to carry things out for them, etc. Moving boxes I have filled and taping them up.

We look at what we’ve sold and are very fortunate to get the price’s we ask for and then I look at him and say….this is the tip of the iceberg….Welcome to the Titanic.

I remember all the other times I’ve moved and it’s a stressful thing to do. I have to pull on my positive hat and remind myself that I’ll….we’ll… get through this. I just want to walk away and leave it all behind and start fresh.

My trips to the doctors and hospitals and procedures has taken a lot out of me too. I am sure coupled with the move I am feeling sensitive. Plus, the biggie is my Mother died at the end of February. Next year February is canceled! Why? In Feb. of 2009 my best Auntie Moe passed away and my ex husband who is/was also the Father of my children died. Now there’s an interesting story of how he tried to contact me after he crossed over. I’ll have to share that with you all someday. Also in 2009 my niece lost her long time boyfriend/father of her Son at a very young age. Plus my Sister’s ex-husband died too. A wonderful man who left such good memories with us. So, I’m just going to cancel allll of 2009!! Thank God it’s over.

Okay, I’ve gone on and on enough…..have a good day and now you know what it’s like to move so  bloom where you’re planted!!
